The village showcases historic sites, museums, and architecture, with blooming lilacs and fruit trees, while the surrounding landscape boasts cactus blooms, sandy hillsides and sagebrush. 

Here you'll find an activity for anyone of any age or interest. The history buff will want to visit the historic sites and local museum. The fitness guru will want to take advantage of the expansive biking and hiking trails or play a round of golf. The artist will enjoy the local artisans and families will enjoy geocaching, ice fishing and exploring. 

There is truly something for everyone, in every season, and every season of life. 

Desert Hills Ranch

Early in the 20th century, settlers of Ashcroft found that its rich volcanic soil produced some of the best produce in the world. Find some of the best BC grown produce, including watermelon, cantaloupe, honeydew, field tomatoes, roma tomatoes, onions, potatoes, carrots, peppers, beets and much more!

Ashcroft Museum

Come wander through history and view exhibits that portray Southern Cariboo's First nations and early settler lifestyles. You'll see a colourful combination of artifacts, text and photographs that vividly illustrate life as it was in the early days.   Visitors have the option of a tour or browsing at their own pace.

Juniper Beach Provincial Park

Established in 1989, the park protects a representative desert landscape which contains sagebrush, prickly pear cactus and juniper.  Part of the landscape includes deep post-glacial deposits and train buffs can enjoy the CNR and CPR railway that runs by the park. Enjoy photographing this beautiful area.

Historic Hat Creek Ranch

Step back in time and relive the Gold Rush era. Guides dress in 1800's attire and tour you through Roadhouse and Shuswap Native Interpretation Sites, stagecoach rides, gold panning, archery, licensed restaurant, and more!  Visit our goats, chickens, horses, and pigs when strolling around the property.
